At Neighborhood Veterinary Center, we pride ourselves in being a multi-functional, top of the line hospital, boarding facility and training center. The core of your pet’s health starts with a yearly comprehensive physical exam. This is the opportunity where we get to assess your pet’s major organ systems for potential problems with a comprehensive physical exam; this includes examining their eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs, skin, and digestive tract. This is also the time where we can discuss your pets’ weight, behavior issues and other quality of life concerns along with any questions that you may have. We also take this time review your pet's vaccination records and give recommendations for what vaccines that they are due for. At this time, we screen for internal and external parasites. You also get to ask our staff any and every question that you may have about your pet. Top
While it is never easy to leave your pet for any length of time, our caring staff treats each patient with plenty of TLC. All pets staying with us will be walked at least 3 times a day and in the safety of our fenced in yard. We also provide time in our indoor play area to ensure that every pet that stays with us gets the same exercise and attention as if they were at home. Meals and treats can be provided by owners or our clinic. All pets are also given a complimentary exam by our staff at the time of admission, and the veterinarian on call is notified if there are any changes in your pet’s health while under our care. Top

Emergency and critical care
In the event that your pet is in critical condition, we provide emergency and critical care by our trained staff at almost any time of day. Having availability to oxygen chamber, full blood analyzers, patient monitoring, blood transfusion, and digital radiographs, our facility is fully equipped to handle most emergency. Hospices and euthanasia
At Neighborhood Veterinary center, we understand the emotions and difficulties that come with the end of the life of our pets. That’s why we stress the importance of quality of life and keeping your pets comfortable to their last moments. Our dedicated grief room provides a quiet and intimate location for when the unfortunate time comes, and you need to put your pet to sleep. When stepping into our grief room, you are transformed into a warm and intimate atmosphere to help ease your loss. We also monitor every patient’s vitals during the entire procedure. A log of your pet’s vitals is kept in an electronic format for easy access. Our dedicated isolation ward is used to provide the highest quality medicine to all pets while protecting the rest of our hospital form potentially contagious diseases. Microchipping provides the opportunity to permanently identify your pets. This technique provides security if your pet would ever get lost or stolen. This tool is essential in South Florida with our constant threat of hurricanes and natural disasters, and it will reduce the risk of losing your pet if they have escapes and ended up in the streets. The microchip provides the veterinarian office, animal shelters and human societies with an identification number that can be traced back to you. Top
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team members will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our abilities. Emergencies are accepted during any time that our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible, it is best to call our office before coming so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
